- Nayak's Residence | Arth Design
Arth Design’s Nayak’s Residence: 4,500 sq ft Satna home blending terracotta, concrete and blue metal accents with a central courtyard and rec room. Nayak's Residence RESIDENTIAL | MADHYA PRADESH Scope : Interiors + Architecture (Consultancy) Area : 4500 sqft Status : Completed in 2025 Design Team : Ayush Jagnani, Nitika Bajaj, Utsav Agrawal Structural Consultant : Vishal Vishwakarma The brief called for a house which could be inhabited by the client, his parents and his child as the permanent inhabitants. The client is often visited by two of his brothers who resided outstation. They wanted a space which was large enough for everyone to enjoy their time together when the brothers came over while also giving everyone their own private space. Situated in a serene lane of Satna, Madhya Pradesh, the residence celebrates earthy aesthetics and thoughtful design. The warm terracotta tiles, on the exterior, contrast with stark concrete edges, making it seamlessly blend natural textures and contemporary geometry. The upper-level features two lavishly sized windows, breaking the terracotta-clad monotony and inviting ample natural light, creating a dynamic interplay of volumes. Accents of blue in the metal fixtures, such as the gate and grilles, add a contemporary touch while blending in with the surroundings. The central courtyard adorns both the floors with natural flow of light and ventilation. The contemporary re-interpretation of the traditional Indian elements makes the design stand out. Terracotta jalis in patterned grids, appearing across the skylights and balconies, casts ever-changing shadows throughout the day. These perforated screens serve as a filter for harsh sunlight while maintaining privacy. A multipurpose recreational room on the upper story is anchored by a table tennis setup and flanked by an integrated kitchenette, cozy reading nooks and an aquarium. This space blurs the boundary between leisure and utility and offers a tucked-away hub for family bonding and relaxation. SHARE Facebook LinkedIn X (Twitter) Copy link
- Proactive I | Arth Design
Arth Design’s Proactive I: 400 sq ft commercial podcast studio in Madhya Pradesh with four distinct wall canvases and nine configurations. Proactive I COMMERCIAL | MADHYA PRADESH Scope : Interiors (Consultancy) Area : 400 sqft Status : Completed in 2023 Design Team : Ayush Jagnani, Utsav Agrawal When the clients approached us with this project and explained to us what they do, their brief was simple “we need a new recording studio for our podcasts”. The challenge for our team was their podcast and content spanned across various themes and catered to different audiences, each having their own needs. The studio was to be housed within a moderately sized room within their existing facility. This got us brainstorming about the possible ways in which we can give them a studio which is flexible enough to incorporate all varieties of content. This thought then formed the basis for our design approach. We as designers often visualize all the surfaces coming together and making one single space. This perspective is exactly what we upturned in the process. The space was divided into four different and distinct walls. These four walls were looked at and uniquely treated as a standalone canvas, a unique visual story in itself. Three of these walls serve as a trio of interchangeable backdrops for shoots -one leans on soft, organic forms and soothing neutrals; another pops with retro-inspired graphics and bright yellow-orange tones; the third brings in contemporary geometry and muted monochromes. The fourth anchors a space with a minimalist tone for office purposes. With three unique furniture setups styled across these walls, the brand unlocks a total of nine distinct studio setups. This approach enables exceptional and seamless versatility to various themes and topics of the podcasts. SHARE Facebook LinkedIn X (Twitter) Copy link
- MKSK | Arth Design
Arth Design’s MKSK Store: 2,150 sq ft ethnic wear retail in Madhya Pradesh, redesigned 2022 with zoned layouts, teak‑rattan screen and bamboo lamps MKSK Store RETAIL | MADHYA PRADESH Scope : Interiors + Facade (Consultancy) Area : 2150 sqft Status : Completed in 2022 Design Team : Ayush Jagnani, Utsav Agrawal The brand, when they approached us, was using a space which had a traditional “gaddi” like setup in its store. While this space was being used by them for a long time, they faced two challenges within this. The first was of course a shortage of space; they were looking to expand and move into a new location. The second was their intention to redefine the store to attract the younger generation while retaining their loyal customer base. The brand is highly rooted in its culture and traditions and posed a strong belief for it. These formed the basis for our approach. MKSK is a family-owned ethnic wear store established in 1980. The design intends to transform the conventional shopping experience into a modern retail narrative. It’s a space crafted not only for the loyal patrons but also for the younger demographic who seek to explore culture and style. The vision was to create an environment which aligns with contemporary brands and also preserves their rich heritage. The layout is envisioned as multiple zones that balance product density and enhance customer interaction, seamlessly integrating cultural authenticity with modern elegance. Placed on the periphery is the traditional over the counter and gaddi setups which encourages strong interaction between the customers and staff, giving a sense of curated experience to the client. At the heart of the store is a screen serving dual purpose. Firstly, it strategically screens off the rear portion and creates a semi-enclosed space for curated and guided selections. Secondly, it doubles up as a display and makes for a unique backdrop. A sense of crafted look is achieved for the screen by using a combination of metal, teak and rattan. This monochromatic palette makes the vibrant textile hues stand out. The racking system provides vertical and horizontal displays, allowing the sarees to be both hung and folded, showing a variety of texture, drapes and hues. This screen cum display element is further accentuated by the careful use of patterned flooring, a bold red ceiling pocket and handmade bamboo lamps. SHARE Facebook LinkedIn X (Twitter) Copy link
- Ajay Electronics | Arth Design
A modern retail space by Arth Design, Ajay Electronics blends clean design, smart lighting, and function to elevate the customer experience. Ajay Electronics RETAIL | MADHYA PRADESH Scope : Interiors (Consultancy) Area : 5500 sqft Status : Completed in 2022 Design Team : Ayush Jagnani, Utsav Agrawal Fitout : Studio Blukey The retail store of Ajay Electronics is crafted as a series of immersive vignettes, carefully designed to highlight a particular product category, brought to life through striking Visual Merchandising (VM). This approach enables a striking and harmonious presentation of the products. Through this deliberate approach, products are accentuated, elevating the overall shopping journey and fostering a memorable experience for clientele. The appliances are strategically oriented, with the larger ones along the periphery and the smaller ones on the central island, ensuring deeper visual lines and smooth, intuitive flow. The design statement through the expansive ceiling installation serves as a focal and anchor point for the overall space grabbing the customers’ attention. Placed at the heart of the store right below the installation to capture the eye is a circular podium, which showcases the season’s featured product -bold, spotlighted and impossible to ignore. A cohesive design language emerges through the combination of metal panels and wood, giving the store a modern industrial balance. Ajay Electronics’ store is more than a mere showroom, it’s an experience -it encourages the customers to engage, explore and remember. It transforms the retail journey into a curated and immersive environment, and transforms shopping into a narrative worth revisiting. SHARE Facebook LinkedIn X (Twitter) Copy link
